Who am I?

 My name is Michelle Becorest and I am the owner of and groomer for Pampered Paws Mobile Grooming.   From answering the phone, to our first meet and greet all the way to the final grooming and hand off.  It will be me.  That is what Pampered Paws Mobile Grooming offers, one on one, personalized service.  My husband and I are the owners, let's say roommates with: Stella, a Boston Terrier and Stanley, a Pomerainian.  For the last 17 years we also shared our home with 5 cats, who, do to old age and other age related ailments are sadly no longer with us.  My pets are my family and I am dedicated to their comfort and safety.  I volunteer at the Winnebago County Animal Services grooming wonderful and adoptable pets.  I am available for civic groups (Girl Scouts, etc.) to help educate about pet care.

How I got here:

 I grew up surrounded by animals, a family friend started a veterinary practice where I worked from the age of 12 into my early twenties.  From there I had various retail mananagment jobs and I really missed working with animals.  I had a great oppurtunity to apprentice with a wonderful groomer for several years and learned an amazing amount.  Due to schedule conflicts and the love of travel, I needed more part time work-school bus driving was the answer.  With summer offs-it seemed to  work perfectly, except I missed my extended pet family.  I was continuing to groom dogs and cats of friends, family and their referrals while driving a school bus.  I would go into their homes and groom there.  It seemed to work out nice, except I was limited in the size of dogs I could do.  I saw a huge need in our pet community for more personalized, one on one attention, for all size dogs.  The added bonus was the convenience of being at the client's home. So after much research, Pampered Paws Mobile Grooming was born.  I hope you and your pets will enjoy this wonderful experience as much as I will. Michelle
